We made candles to remind us to spread God's word and welcome everyone.
Today we learned about how our pupils open and close to allow in the proper amount of light. The kids were amazed to see their pupils shrink when I turned on the lights. While the kids were playing math games I was asked if this was free choice because of the rain. I love that they consider math games a free choice activity. Learning is fun!! This week we are learning all about light. Today we learned that a rainbow is made when sunlight shines through the raindrops or moisture in the air. How cute are these Golly ears? As I was taking pictures they started howling like a pack of dogs, so funny. Today we painted kites by blowing through straws to move the paint around. The kids loved it and the kites turned out pretty cool. To go along with our science unit this week, we read The Wind Blew and sequenced the items that were blown away in the story. |
