Thank you to everyone who sent in a food item that starts with the letter P. We had so much fun today at our letter P picnic. The Superkids ended up having an odd picnic because they ate all the food before they got to the picnic spot. It was decided we had a fun picnic because all the food was so good and eating snack on the rug is better than at our seats.
In honor of Women's history month, Ms. Meier came in to teach us about Mattie Knight. Maddie was a little girl who always brainstormed ways to make toys better, like sleds or kites. When she got older she designed the machine to create flat bottomed paper bags. After learning about Maddie we made kites out of paper bags. Then we got to eat chocolate chip cookies---another things created by a woman. Thanks for teaching us so many cool things Ms. Meier!! We all hope you come back soon.
Some girls danced for St. Patrick's Day at the Irish Heritage center. It was so much fun to watch them perform!
Molly's grandma came in to teach us about the heart. We loved listening to our own heart beats and one from the computer. It was difficult to find out own pulse, but we all did in the end. We learned so much! Thanks for coming by
